Nesting Optimiser

The nesting function and its content has been enriched version after version with many new possibilities and performances. The Nesting Optimiser pushes the limits of algorithms! The detection of edges combined with the possibility of saving your nesting parameters to be used later for other jobs comfort of use still not seen elsewhere.

The Nesting Optimiser markedly improves global filling compared with other nesting packages. Different parameters can be used to inbdicate the number of tests, the maximum duration of their calculations, propagation durections, etc. This optimisation tool achieves significant savings in the quantity of material used and machining combined with report functions providing information on the best number of tests, reasons for "pauses", the best use as a percentage and the best improvement during nesting by default and a surplus mayerial management function to save even more.

Cutting common features

This new option in TYPE EDIT allows you to achieve automatic detection and closure of your leements and objects with common features. Your objects will be closer together and you will reduce your costs by optimising the area of material used and reduce material wastage. 

In addition, the wear and breakage of tools is also reduced because the tool only moves once to cut between two attached parts. Your working time is reduced because all the operations are automatic, less material is wasted and you reduce the machining time of your machines, Real easy-to-measure gains!

Printing a simulation report for the remaining material.

A new button allows you to print a detailed simulation report of remaining material. This report gives you the details of each simulated toolpath, the areas the tool leaves over (in red), date and time of the preview, name of the work file (VND), name and characteristics of the tool, allowance, depth and tools to be used. Plus, you have a copy of all the parameters you used for a future job.

Chain cutting

With the new Chain cutting option, you obtain a unique cutting path with a tool that does not leave the material once. Hence, the tool release is minimized. A true revolution in terms of machining time savings, better cutting finished and of course, much less tool break and use.

Scale modifications while creating a 2D Texture

Scale modifications in 2D Texture allows you to control the dimensions of the pattern independantly from the object on which it is duplicated. As a result, the texture is a lot more accurate. When you begin your texture, you can determine its size, and then save it to use it again for a future object. Texture is an important trend today in various industries : automotive, furniture, sign, mold, leather trade, etc. With Scale modifications while creating 2D Textures, simply and freely create anything you want thanks to the editor!

 

Remove small contours

Automatically and rapidly delete small contours! The Remove small contours tool is a new feature located in the Geometrical toolbox. The deleted contours are computed from a range size defined by the diagonal of the bounding box of the object to delete. Once validated, this suppression is immediate. Clean-up operations are much easier with the rapid removal of these « small contours »; you save time to better perfect your model.

 

Projection of the Sequence toolpaths in multi-layer mode

TYPE EDIT offers you a powerful and highly professional CAM feature. In the Sequence toolpath, you can now activate a projection in a multi-layer mode, just like you would do in the other sequence toolpaths. You then easily obtain the surface on the first toolpath and the geometries to be machined on the other planes, all done in a single click!
You can of course retrieve and save the gang drill heads configurations in an XML format (*.gang). Drillings can be performed in various types of materials such as Plywood, MDF (medium density fiberboard) for instance, by activating one or several driller, broach or head at the same time. Definitely the ideal tool for all professionals working in the wood industry.

 

Drilling/Gang Drill

TYPE EDIT integrates a new CAM specific feature: the « Gang drill head ». TYPE EDIT can drive CNC machines equipped with 1 to 9 standard Gang Drill heads (multi-spindle gang milling machines) to fit your machining needs.
You can of course retrieve and save the gang drill heads configurations in an XML format (*.gang). Drillings can be performed in various types of materials such as Plywood, MDF (medium density fiberboard) for instance, by activating one or several driller, broach or head at the same time. Definitely the ideal tool for all professionals working in the wood industry.
